Curve Deformation with Geometry Nodes
Dec 04, 2023Curves are one of the most important objects in Blender when working as procedural artists. They give us a huge amount of freedom to create beautiful flowing forms that are still controllable at a high level.
That is, as long as you have the tools to actually create and manipulate meshes based on curves.
In this tutorial we're going to be learning how to create our very own Curve Deform node group asset. It will be slightly more advanced than the standard modifier as we will be able to guide specific meshes to conform to specific splines but that's part of the joy of proceduralism.
The start file contains the Bounding Box Grouped node group made in a previous tutorial and used in this one.
